We are proud to present this video, produced by Rory Mathieson and Kyle Johnston of Sweet Pixel, providing a unique glimpse into the wonderland that is The Old Cinema. Take a complete tour of both floors that cover over two centuries of antiques, vintage and retro furniture and accessories. We think it looks fantastic, but of course nothing beats the real thing, so we hope if you haven't visited the store yet in person this will inspire you to do so!

Vintage Rocket by Matt Black

Prepare for blast off! This incredibly rare vintage 1950's rocket was salvaged from an old carnival ride in the French campagne. Originally metallic blue, ove a year was spent restoring the rocket to arrive at ultimate condition. The interior has been removed and reupholstered in premium black leather with white piping. Attention to detail includes wooden gear handle, LED switchboard, and headlight. The rocket is freely mounted onto a customised, vintage cast iron base. We think this could make a brilliant gaming chair, or could easily stand alone as a work of art. Come and check it out before it launches off to another galaxy!

LetTErS

March is the month of Upcycling! With only two weeks to go until our Upcycled Selling Exhibition it is the perfect time to welcome new dealer, Robert Wilson of Ampersand Design, to The Old Cinema.

Robert specialises in upcycled printing letter blocks and has a very colourful and interesting array of boxes, individual letters and words to feast your eyes on.

From the age of 19, Robert studied archive conservation and fine leather book binding; being constantly surrounded by printing blocks was what got him into letters. People who worked at the printers would throw the blocks away if they weren't needed, but he would keep them, thinking he could do something creative and beautiful with them. Robert has been collecting them for 35 years and has spent ten years perfecting the letter-lid boxes:

With Mother's Day only around the corner, we think that these would make a lovely gift:

If you're as much of a fan of Chiswick as we are, why not take a souvenir home?!

Come and check out the vast selection in the shop!
